About Rebecca Forrester

Rebecca Forrester founded Green Ink Design Studio in 2010, following seven years working within the design industry. With more than 20 years of experience in residential design, Rebecca brings a considered and highly personal approach to every project, grounded in a genuine understanding of how the spaces we live in can shape the way we experience everyday life.

Rebecca holds a Master of Architecture from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Design (Architecture) from the University of Newcastle. Her experience spans new homes, major renovations and alterations and additions, with much of Green Ink's work built on referrals from past clients, builders and industry professionals.

For Rebecca, great residential design begins well before the first line is drawn. It starts with listening - understanding how a family lives now, what isn't working, what matters most to them and how they want life in their new home to feel. This understanding becomes the foundation for a design that balances functionality, beauty and individuality.

As a mother of two and someone who has experienced renovating her own family home, Rebecca understands that a home is far more than a collection of rooms. It is where everyday routines unfold, families come together, friends are welcomed and memories are made. A thoughtfully designed home should make those moments easier and more enjoyable, while providing places to retreat, recharge and simply feel at home.

This philosophy is at the heart of Rebecca's approach. She works closely with each client throughout the design process, exploring possibilities, challenging assumptions and translating their needs and aspirations into spaces that feel distinctly their own.

For Rebecca, design isn't simply about creating a beautiful house. It's about creating a home that makes everyday life better.
